Epoxy primer on the bare metal is key if you're using basic polyester resin, do it within the recoat window-epoxy primer 12-48hrs old is best IMO, the poly bites right to it.
Thanks for the responses gentlemen. I'm in the middle of getting the bed off, mother nature has welded the bolts on it seems. I'm hoping to get the cap cut out in the next two weeks.
