I see what you mean. there was supposed to be a link. sorry.
a dealer had the tank and side covers painted for a friend at a small town body shop. It had dirt, fisheyes, sanding marks in the base, and solvent pops, all in one job. And the paint was flaking off the inside of the side covers in large pieces.
the original question was, a friend has the same tank that was painted by a custom motorcycle painter. he also painted down in the neck and his has held up for four years. What did he do differently?
