Painted my walk in door!

Learnin'
Getting in a little practice on my garage's walk-in door. Red base with large (.015) flake and lots of clear. The logo is done in silver pearl topped with tiny (.004) silver flake. Lots of clear to bury it all, 6 or 7 coats. No color sanding or buffing though, maybe later on. Wish pictures captured the flake better. Bead blasted the design in the window after a lot of taping and razor work. Plain white on the outside.

Thanks Jim, for the compliments and all the questions of mine that you've answered!

Seeing my own pictures makes me realize how much I need to clean...

Very cool. The red metalflake kind of reminds of a diner stool you'd find in Jersey somewhere.

funny i just did a bunch of doors as well. almost the same door but with raised panels. mine had to be faux finished to look like wood though. ill make a different post and put up some pictures

Someday, when I have a lot more time, I'm going to practice a bunch with my airbrush. Woodgrain, as well as skulls and "real fire", are on my practice list. I'll be keeping an eye out for them!

I'd love to do my front door of my house like that.. Maybe when my wife leaves with the kids on vacation one time I will hook it up! by time she gets home it will be too late!

It's kinda sad that it's on the inside of the door where real sunlight doesn't hardly hit it. Also, since it's never really moving, it doesn't twinkle like a car driving by does. It does give the garage some character though, and it was great practice!
