overspray removal from black epoxy

I am doing a job in black epoxy and am curious to know how a clay bar will affect the finish, or not.

It may shine it some but hopefully it'll just remove the overspray, I've played around with the epoxy quite a bit and even colorsanded and buffed a test panel once after full cure was reached just to see how it reacted -that panel is still glossy as hell. SPI epoxy is a different animal for sure!!!

I was able to remove the overspray with very light pressure. I played around and 2000 wet sanded a spot...nice and shiny but it did affect the color....grayed it out.

I shot the roof, side cab sections and doors last night and everythigs looks great except the dry area on the roof....seems to be a big problem with me.... I tried standing in the bed and going as far as I can from the middle back and the on the sides as far as I could reach...jumped on a stool and finished it off....I left a large area of dry/overspray which I will fix tonight.

I am going to try to lightly wet sand and clay bar to see if that helps......probably not as I seem to have an aversion to painting a large flat panel but have no issues with curves ,bends, edges.

It has now become borderline obsessvive and I will suspend myself from the ceiling if I have to to get this right. LOL
