OK to strain metallic paint

Hi all, is it ok to strain/filter metallics? Does micron size matter? I’ll be using a Wanda metallic color, if that matters.

I do. Just the usual filters, 190 if I remember right.

If it goes into the gun it’s going through a strainer.

Gerson "Elite" strainers are good ones. Comes in 3 different micron sizes. 125, 190, 260. I've never noticed a difference in results with the different sizes over the years. Only thing I've noticed is that depending on the size the paint will go through the strainer slower or faster. 190 is a good compromise and really as fine as you need to go.
