Next step - which primer?

Epoxy over just the bare sand throughs and then urethane primer? I have used SPI epoxy after first stripping to bare metal and then used regular 2K. Thanks
 
Brad, thanks for responding. How long to wait after 2 light coats of epoxy before the 2K? Is there ever a concern with sandwiching epoxy and 2K primers?
 
I'd let it sit overnight.

No concern sandwiching. I like to think of the epoxy as a glue coat for the 2k to stick really good to.
 
Why not just spray more epoxy until the panel is ready for sealer coat then basecoat? Does the 2K build that much more than the epoxy?

You'd probably need 3 coats of epoxy to barely match 2 of the regular 2K. Maybe even more.

Then again if the epoxy gets sprayed out of a big nozzle (1.8-2.2) you can get good build with it.
 
Finally got some time to work on this. Applied two coats of epoxy. I really like using the epoxy, you can really tell how its going to look. Hoping to apply 2K tomorrow or Sunday. Been raining constantly here.
