New Clearcoat gun??

T

Tinman

Looking at a Sagola 4500 extreme Lxt clear 1.4,wondering if anyone has any info how it compares other highend guns for clear.
My current stash=(iwata w400lv 1.3,iwata lph400lv 1.4,sata rp2000 1.3,tekna quickclean 1.3,walcom geo fx92 1.5,gti millenium 1.4 and various mini guns)
So I'm a gun whore, still would like any info on this gun for use with Spi clears and single stage.

I have one with both the base and clear caps, does ok but so far not ok enough that i don't grab a Sata or Iwata if they are handy and clean.

Seems to do very well with base, clear at this point, I can take or leave.

If you had to pick one gun to shoot SPI Universal clear, what would it be?

Just a side or front end, either the LPH or the RP.
Whole car, RP but I'm a wet sprayer.

What about the trusty harbor freight purple performance gun?...just kidding, I get great results from all the top guns, I have an lph 400 and an rp 4000 and 3000. I have also recently used a Tekna with the 7e7 cap, and that does ok too. I believe it's the person behind the gun, more then the gun, especially when you're talking high-end paint guns. It's kind of like what's the best luxury car?..everyone has a preference. I'd say buy a high quality gun and get used to it, and you'll get great results.

Damp, I do agree with you, I think all the high end guns now are so close, only the painter can make the difference.

Well, I have 4 Iwatas 2 lph with all 3 caps, lv4 & a supernova. 2 Sata 3000 1 HVLP & 1 RP & a Walcom all 1.4. With the walcom I get almost perfect finish, all the others I get excessive amount of runs. I think that Barry had recommended the Walcom at one time. Anyone have an idea what the difference in the Walcom & the others are?

Anyone try the tekna prolite? Talked to a former Sata rep and he said if he did'nt have his 4000 rp for his demo gun and buying new,he'd be using the prolite.
I like my Iwatas, tekna quickclean will probably become my base gun.The Sata 2000 rp digital is going on the auction block, never fell in love with it.
Not going to spend $700 on a new 4000 rp , wish Optimas were more available as the 900i and the new 1100 are suppose to be the ticket for clear.
Walcom has a newer Genesi Top Line that looks interesting.

I have a number of Walcoms (Geo's) and love them, period, I don't use them as much only because getting any parts for these guns now, is next to impossible, their arrogance has killed their distribution and that is really a shame.
Personally, I rate them with the Iwata and Sata.

I have had poor luck with info of the walcoms newer (genesi topline) or the new optima 1100 trififty.Always like my old geo fx92, and still use it once in awhile. My old optima 800 was also a great gun.
Like my iwatas (w400lv 1.4 & lph400lv 1.4) and interested in a ws400 supernova.Looking for a clear only gun, wonder if its worth the investment over my w400lv for clear.
Never really fell in love with my the 2000 rp digital 1.3(sits in the cabinet), but maybe the 4000rp is a big improvement for clear?
