New cars, Are they cured by the time they leave the factory?

Wax it, there's dealerships all over the country putting protection packages on as soon as they get unloaded of the transporter. I do think they aren't fully cured though-hardness always changes awhile down the road.
 
I picked up a new Tacoma in black and I did the protection package, mainly because they would warranty stains, rips,tears and scratches on interior parts ( i haul my dogs a lot) From what Ive read the spray is just a high quality wax of some sort, its a new truck so of course its paint was smooth but after they sprayed it, it was even smoother. I guess im impressed but i also live in the salty cold winters of South Dakota, would you reccomend applying a wax like Mcguires or a simlilar quality over it?? i know this is slightly off topic :)
