Need some help with UV clear

I use to get problems like that from time to time but since i started using the water base cleaner i havent had those problems. The only time i use solvent cleaner anymore is to remove glue. I wash eveything with dawn before i sand from the start and if i think it will be a problem i mix alittle stout industrial cleaner.

They have some very low tack tack rags now that are virtually foolproof. What you were using IMO is the best out there. Surgical Blue by Datco are excellent. Just be sure when you use them to let the tack gilde over the surface. Use almost no hand pressure. Open the tack completely up and either fold it loosely or ball it up before you start tacking. Let it glide over the surface and you shouldn't ever have an issue with the tack rag.

Thanks Chris. I followed your directions on this next practice session. SO, I sanded the trunk lid down and went at it for another practice session. I made sure I cleaned the panel very thoroughly and such with wb and solvent cleaner. I decided to try a different brand clear, different brand tack cloth and a different gun. I put down a light but wet first coat down, 15 minutes later another med-wet coat. Everything looked good with the exception of a few dust nibs. Then I had enough for a 3rd coat so I waited 30 minutes, and this time I decided to slow down a bit and put in on a little heavier and BOOM, here come the fish eyes.

Could I be laying it down too heavy on a horizontal surface? If not then its my booth or air, no doubt. I took my air hose loose at the compressor, there was some slight residue there at the fitting but it wasn't really wet per say, inside the hose looked new. I also took a white rag, and placed it over the inlet of my motorguard filter and just opened the valve up and it was clean.

I have order a new compressor. I was going to get one anyway.
