hey guys, i like to mix my single stage flat black at a 6:1 ratio but my mixing cups dont have a 6:1 scale so i would have to use the the scale on the side that only goes 1,2,3,4 and so on fill the scale up to the 6 with paint then top it off to 7 with the activator for a 6:1 ratio. my pps cup sleeve has a 6:1:1 scale. if i dont use the last :1 is it the same as a regular 6:1 scale?
i only ask because i need to touch up a spot and dont need alot of material

yes either way you are fine, that last :1 is just to add one part of reducer to the mix. Whatever parts you have that are equal are the same. You can use kitchen style measuring spoons if you want to use even less. Just have to consider what is staying behind each time. I have also used a gram scale to mix small amounts, but you need to make sure what your paint and catalyst weigh to make sure you are at the same mix volume. We have a spec epoxy primer to put under this aeroglaze paint L3 Comm wants on their parts, its 3.5:1 in volume, 5.5:1 in weight.
