Metallic Addtive

Toms 57 Chevy

All, I am painting my 57 silver with a white top. There is no metallic in the white and I would like to add just a little to give it a little flash. What would be the best way to go about this. I am thinking a reall fine giltter and mix it in an intercoat. Spry this on top of the Prospray PG7 white. Or should I mix this in the paint and shoot the las coat with the glitter. I just want a little sprakel due to the silver is metallic.

i would use a white pearl on it instead. i dont think you will like metallic white :( . i have use white and platinum pearls over white .

Crystal white pearl mixed in intercoat like shine says. It takes some experimenting to get the right look. Actually, if this is how you want to go, the easiest would be to pick a factory white pearl color and just buy it ready to go. It will be what is called a "three stage" or "tri coat" color.

The toyota white pearls are a lot cleaner looking than GM or Ford, just buy some prospray midcoat color and spray it over the white you have. Silver flakes wouldn't look good IMO.
