Mat clear

I mentioned this in another thread and was wondering if there are any plans on the table for a mat clear, barry?

Do you see any reason to, considering you offer the flattening agent?

Me personally...i just like the simplicity of the mat clear. I can mix the smallest amount to largest amount and still be consistent in the mix. Cant screw it up.

Easier to cocktail in a regular clear also to get more gloss.

Might not even be a real high demand for it, i dont know.

I would have to give it a try.. Although the problem is that people all desire different gloss levels!

The other problem being what clear to base it on. I would want it to be based on the standard Euro, though if it came to be, I imagine it would have to be a variant of Universal.

If I understand this correctly, any of the SPI clears except maybe the Turbo Clear can be mixed together once they are mixed with their respective activators. About a month ago I did this with 2.1 Production Clear and Euro 2020 (5000) on Barry's advice. Man did it spray nice! So if Barry made a mat clear, it should be mixable with all of the others.

correct. that is the way sikkens mat clear is. i can mix with their acIII, hs+ or even the lesonal universal. I'm sure i could with others but those are really the only sikkens clears i've used regularly.

Although..It would seem to be easier to use one activator throughout. Mix mat clear, and lets say universal clear 1:1 then proceed with your universal activatior.

I can do this with the sikkens

So then you have the question crash brought up...which clear to base it off?

I always use euro when flattening. I think that would be the best choice.
