Masking tape

I'm finding that the 3M yellow doesn't like humidity. Any suggestions on something else?

The 3M Green is supposedly the next step up, but I haven't used it in many years.

Green will stick better than yellow in humid conditions.

My jobber has American tape I think it is # p31 a cream color. Not to bad for the $

just found a scotch 2080, purple, most like the green tape they discontinued.

2080 is the purple delicate surface tape. it used to be blue. its a very light tack and its on super thin rice paper. you can see through it once its down. it doesnt take turns at all. its basically the same as the aqua 3m precision masking tape. 2080 really isnt for automotive use where the precision tape is.

I meant it seems to be a replacement for the green 3M2480S 3M used to sell for automotive, that was even thinner.

We got the precision and were not able to do the radius of a chevy rally stripe either..
