Working on recent Macco painted vehicle. Any compatibility issues with using Standox and SPI over it?
 
It depends on which quality level was chosen by the vehicle owner. But honestly I don't think they use anything without hardener anymore. If you have to do any primering you will know right away because the featheredge will wrinkle. If the job is a single stage metallic you'll have to use a light hand in prepping, like prep paste and a gray scocthbrite.
 
Just finished the hood,fender and bumper. No issues. I tried your retarder idea with slow activator and no reduction on the 140 degree hood. Worked great!
