life span of prospray after mixing

I mixed up my leman blue prospray 50/50 with spi reducer and added 1 ounce per quart of spi activator to the mix. i had a little bit left over so i put into my glass bottles for my airbrush supplies. The bottle as sealed glass bottles. i filled them almost full with mixed paint. my question is how long will this paint stay good stored like this being as i mixed in activator?

i think its impossible to say. every basecoat has a different amount of reactivity, combine that with the activator itself, humidity when you mixed it, moisture content of the paint/reducer. just too many factors. i have had activated base stay good for a couple years and i have had some last a week.

i guess the question then becomes how will i know it has gone bad? Will it be all gummed up and not able to spray or will it be a surprise after i have sprayed it?

Hi Shaun,

Is it SS or BC?

I have their SS and thought I could same some when I mixed up to much. I put it in the fridge and no go. It gelled up.

it is base coat clear coat. i mixed it 50/50 with slow spi reducer and then added 1 oz of activator per sprayable quart.
