I think you need to tape some paper to the wall so you can shoot some test patterns. I run mine at close to 30 lbs and about 2 1/2 turns out on the fluid mixture but I will bet the next three guys who post will set their's differently. None of us will be right or wrong, just doing what we are comfortable with and what seems to work for us.

I used the lph 400 last week to spray a trunk lid and tried several settings and it is not fast enough for the way I like to spray. I am going to buy a sata 5000 rp as this is what I had before and really like.
Do you spray with the 5500? If so what tip size and what nozzle pattern?
Have you sprayed Universal or Euro 5000 with it? I had a 1.3 tip on the 5000 rp and it was great for SPI high solids clear, A friend of mine sprays medium solids clear with his whatever gun he uses but he can not spray SPI high solids with his gun.
