throw the cheap ball filter away. if that is what you are calling a ufo. they are pretty much useless and restrict flow.

Ha, ha, ha! I was wondering what he meant by UFO. My mind was stuck on acronyms Ultimate Filtering Obstacle or something.

Craig,

Great results and that is what matters! I have a similar spoiler end in a very similar color. It is on a '70 Camaro.

I am assuming that the UFO filter you refer to is the inline water filter? It looks like a UFO. I never had one fail. Maybe I should be surprised, I buy cheap ones at HF, and run full line pressure through them all of the time at about 100psi!

Keep on it. I may post some pictures of my car in progress at some point. I am undecided on color and may consider Prospray so am curious on your thoughts.

First off, thank you everyone for the kind comments.

Yes, the "UFO" filter is the cheapee one that is right before the gun. I ended up shooting those parts without one and didn't have any contamination. Of course, I had taken the advice of those here on the board in another one of my earlier threads where they recommended a better filter elsewhere in the system.

As far as my thoughts on Prospray, I'm probably not the best one to ask since I've never done this before. I selected them because they seemed like a good product based on peoples comments on this, and several other forums. Based on my limited use, it seemed great. I went ahead and ordered a gallon yesterday along with some black Prospray and hope to get everything knocked out in the next few weeks. I'm painting it in pieces so next up is fenders and doors, then hood and trunk with the main car last. My thinking there is that I will get a little better each time I do it and why potentially mess up the biggest "piece" with less experience. I did assemble everything when it was in it's final 2k primer stage which was good because I had to massage a few things. I then marked each bolt and washer with a number and made up a sheet showing where each one goes so hopefully it will be easier to put together after painting. Even so, I will be nervous when moving around those 1,000 lb doors!

Not to hijack your thread, but where did you order the prospray from?
