HVLP spray gun head.

When spraying 2k primer what is the best size head to use on the gun. I used a 1.7 but paint was so think I could barely get it to spray and what did come out was like textured paint.
 
Which 2k? Interestingly, none of the primers, except for the Epoxy, say what to use in the tech book.
 
I spray SPI regular build with a 1.8 Devilbiss or an ebay special 2.5, If you need you can reduce with 1 part urethane reducer.
 
SPI Epoxy 1.4 (optimal) up to 1.8 (gun adjustment required, not recommended for novices)
2k Urethane Primers- Turbo, Regular, and Hi-Build 1.7- 2.2, (Hi build will spray better with a bigger nozzle, 2.2 being pretty close to ideal. 2.0 works well with the Regular and Turbo.

Polyester Primers 2.0-2.5. 2.5 being ideal
