Plastic wheel well covers. All the little relief areas how do I spray these?
Gun is a pressure pot gun. Base and clear. I don’t have much experience I usually go one full turn open from closed. 32psi at the gun.
When I sprayed primer I didn’t get much in the nooks so I’ve had to spray some 1k in these areas since I burned through pretty easy. how do I approach this? Thanks.

Rookie here but I would cut all those areas in first then spray the entire piece as normal and repeat that process until its full coverage. Bright lights
Hi,should I reduce fan width and maybe fluid to spray in a little closer? Never tried that before,gm silver birch metallic

Just like you would anything else. Make your passes starting at bottom of one end of the flare. Follow the flare along it's length. Continue until you achieve coverage. Of course observe proper flash times. If you are spraying basecoat and are worried about coverage in those areas alternate coats spraying like I described and spraying 90 degrees to that. Meaning visualize your pass as a line and do your next pass 90 degrees to that. Spray light coats, give plenty of flash time and do as many as neccesary to ensure coverage in those areas.

It will also help to hang the flare or put something underneath it to get the flare up and off the surface. Otherwise you will not get full coverage on the edges.

I did these "pocket flares" on my Suburban a few years ago. It was a little tricky.
I got my gun perpendicular to the pockets and then did 3 quick passes; Gun 45 degrees to the left, straight on, and then 45 degrees to the right.
Hopefully this quick drawing shows it.

Came out great! I scuffed them with grey pad, sprayed adhesion promoter, then SPI Epoxy, then SEM texture, then black base, then satin clear.
