When we lived in Australia, my wife missed her Guild 6-string. My first business trip back to the states, she asked me to buy her a guitar along with several hundred small items we couldn't find in Sydney. Australian customs expects you to declare and pay duty on a lot of stuff. When the customs guy saw the guitar, he asked if it was for personal use (no duty). When I blurted out that it was, he gave me a weird look. Apparently folks down under aren't used to seeing one-armed guitarists. All he said was "good on ya, mate" and didn't even ding me for the extra bottle of scotch.
Shine, good luck with the sale. Someone will be thrilled to find a Gibson in that kind of condition.
Almost forgot. Enjoy your short recovery. You could have been doing radiation and chemo for a year or more -- I have friends and relatives who have gone that route.
