Fixing buffer burn and and chips

Im fiarly new to painting and just completed my first paint job, mostly went well but as I was buffing and wet sanding I ran into a couple body lines that didnt like the buffer. I also chipped the paint on the back when we were putting the top back on (bronco) see pics

Now heres where I need some help. Can I just scuff/smooth the problem areas with 600 then re base and clear?? What im not sure of is taping off the area and how to not get masking lines. This is the first time ive ever fixed any issues like this.
 
Yes, but post some pictures and we may have better ways of fixing.

To answer your question, scuff panel 400 to 1500 or anything in between, spot base and clear whole panel.
Pictures could save you some time, if we see break-off points.

Whats too low of a shop temp to respray base and clear? I know the Epoxy doenst like anything under 60 degrees.....
