Finally got the Engine compartment painted

Been working on getting the engine compartment cleaned up this summer and finally got a couple coats of Epoxy on it this weekend.

Still needs a lot of work but from where it was 4 months ago it's looking better.

Its amazing how long it takes sometimes but when done it is well worth the effort. Looks pretty clean from what I can see.

Looks very good. I have heard that black SPI epoxy primer makes a good engine compartment paint. Has anyone done that?

SPI epoxy is used for engine compartments and underbody and suspension parts all the time, just make sure you have enough on. In your photo it appears a little thin on the radiator support or that may just be a reflection?

It is a little thin there. I still have some work to do, so there will be several more coats on it. I just wanted to get it protected before the wet winter sets in.
