I’ve run across one of these for sale used but don’t know much about them. Are they a quality rotary?

Festool is a quality tool. I have a few of their tools but not this polisher. If the price is right I don't think you'll disappointed.

I have an ATD rotary that is a cheap buffer. It has served me well for what it is. My buddy has a dewalt that I use from time to time. But I’d like to get something better and lighter that I can use smaller pads on. The guy wants $350 for this one and says it’s only been used a few times.

I watched a 3M video probably on you tube promoting their "perfect-it" system and they're using a festool polisher. Without looking up the price it's probably twice that if not more for a new one.

They’re a little over $500 new. I guess my thinking is that just because it’s $500 new and the used one is over $150 dollars off new price, are they still worth it?
Was hoping someone had one with some insight.

Not familiar with that model, but got an old ro150 (6" electric) & a newer one. Designed for daily production use & an investment, as are most festools. They generally have fixed pricing on all their products.

The Festool may have an M14 shaft instead of the 5/8” that is pretty much universal for any other buffer, you’d have to source an adapter to use the more common backing plate in different sizes. The Festool Velcro plate is only 5” I believe.

Thanks. That’s good to know.
