Exactline tools "the Blade"

Has anyone used this for shaping filler? Or anything similar? It looks great in theory and for ideal weather conditions. I work restoration in central Texas where about half of the year filler dries so very quickly there is almost zero working time. There is such a fine line between not enough hardener and catalyzing within 30-60 seconds. It's torture and wasteful. I dont see how I could use this tool for most of the year. But I would love to have something that makes applying and shaping filler much easier and more efficient. Any thoughts or tips?

i use a 12 in trowel to finish filler. apply with a 6 - 9 in drywall knife then one pass with the trowel . once you stop gubbering it on with those silly little spreaders you will save hours on a job.

Evercoat now has product called Rage Ultra Xtra which can be used as is or added to Rage ultra to increase work time up to 40 min. Might be worth a try in high ambient temp. conditions.

The blade should get the filler to the desired level quicker than the 4 or 6" plastic spreaders if working on a large panel. The videos pretty much tell the story.
Good Luck.
Thank you! We use Rage Ultra. our jobber has not told us about the Xtra yet. In theory, those two products should increase production, decrease material use and headaches.

Thank you! I will certainly give that a try before $150 tool.
