Epoxy Window

Primetime

I was reading sunlight speeds up the window for epoxy primer.

My question is, I have skylights in my garage they have a film over them so there’s no direct light spots comings through it just creates a bright environment. Would this effect my epoxy widow? Also I’m not painting directly underneath them.

If they are acrylic then the answer would be no as acrylic filters the majority of UV rays. UV light is what affects or speeds up the cure on epoxy. If the skylights are glass then IDK for sure as glass filters out UVB ( I think) and doesn't filter UVA. I don't know which one affects epoxy cure. I think it's UVB but I'm not sure.
Perhaps @Barry could chime in.

Thank you I believe they are acrylic. Also because of the skylights it can get up around 120 degrees in there during the summer days. I plan on spraying some epoxy and poly primer. I’ll spray those early in the morning when it’s in the 70s or 80s. With this set up would a 48 hour window between the epoxy and poly be good? Or would I need to shorten it? I’m not in any rush i just won’t want to miss the window.
