Epoxy Tinting

There was recently another post about primer color for an orange single stage. I have a question, but I don't want to distract from that thread. Is it acceptable to add pigment to epoxy primer? I have gray, and I have thought about adding a black pigment depending upon the project in order to tint it.

I buy black and white epoxy, and blend them to different shades of grey. I don't know about adding something to SPI epoxy other than epoxy. Call or text Barry and ask him.

If I recall it's been said that it would take a lot of pigment to tint epoxy. I always mixed the different colors of epoxy together.

the epoxy can be tinted up to 5% using a tint straight off the mixing machine. The epoxies can also be mixed together for different shades.

Tint the epoxy when it's activated, not before. But 5% or less is generally a pretty subtle effect. I also keep black and white and intermix them.
My wish would be for an olive green epoxy, lots of cars have that on their inner structure.
