B Bratcop Nov 9, 2016 #1 Can I sand factory paint and epoxy primer over it, or is it essential to take it to bare metal? I have a hood and a door with factory paint on them and don't want to strip if I don't have to. If so, what grit? Thanks.

B Bratcop Nov 16, 2016 #4 Thank you for the input. I sanded a factory enamel hood with 80 grit, cleaned, and the epoxy stuck great.
