Epoxy primer or 2k urethane sealer

The best would be to use the epoxy as a sealer but using the 2K as a sealer will work also. One of the benefits with epoxy is the recoat window being longer one draw back would be if you get a fisheye because you applied it a little heavy where the 2K is a little more user friendly in that reguard when going straight to paint.

I should have asked, are you starting the job or going to paint after the sealer? If starting the job epoxy is the best if bondo work needs done, you have up to 7 days before scuffing is recommended.

I am going to paint after sealer and just got a few craters in my last spray of epoxy. It made me nervous if I was going right to paint. Thanks

The craters are indicator that epoxy is too thick there. When it is reduced you shouldn't have that problem. Most people reduce epoxy 1:1:1. I reduce mine 15-25 percent depending on job. I spray unreduced epoxy like a base coat using 1:4 tip. I also try to wait 30 minutes between coats. One thing I like about SPI epoxy is that it lays down smooth.
