Anyone seen one of these or done one?

Just took this in:

If you go to www.supervettes.com you can see pics of them done. Only doing the body mod to this one. Just the kit alone is around $8k. Pretty crazy looking.

Definately an interesting project.

I'll have to reserve judgement until you get done with your magic. I assume some MUCH wider meats complete the look also.

Right now, I can't say I am a fan.

It looks extreme now without the wheels. In reality it is only 1.5" wider than a ZR1. Myself personally would have just done a zr1 mod on the body panels. ..but hey it isn't mine!

The flares just dont go with the style of the body, looks like some home brew styled L-88 flares to my eye. those style flares belong on a C3 imho. Not my car so it really doesnt matter.

I too like modded vets, have an '80 coupe and a full nos. Ecklers Turbo wide body kit for it just waiting for the day I have time to get working on it.

That will be similar to the finished product. The wheels have a poilished face though.

I'm reserving judgement myself untill the wheels are on it.

Few of the parts based in. Will hang on the car in the booth for final coat of silver and clear everything separate.

Everything is painted silver. Hope to have this thing finished up next week.

Customer will be handeling the spacing on the wheels to get them even with the quarters. It needs wheels custom made with the right spacing to get them further out. It will need some pretty large spacers and longer wheel studs, something I am just not comfortable with doing.

Amen...take that car, spacer equals a repair job for you in the future...custom wheels for that ride only

I made it clear the cons of going with the spacers, so the ball is in the customers court when/if something happens.

There's guys around that would put them on, they can have that risk and liability.

Ready for clean up! Side angle you can see what it will look like. Think it is going to look just fine once the wheels are spaced out..even though I don't agree with the procedure.

I can't say that it's my first choice, but I can't say that I don't like it either. It's different.

I wouldn't mind doing the zr1 or z06 body panels, myself. That way you can run factory z06 wheel specs. BUT, I would first need to afford a corvette...LOL.

Did a c6 convertible a few years ago with the z06 quarters. It turned out nice.
