Chains

I have never had anything work grounding the body. Putting a chain over the axle will not do anything because the body is rubber mounted to the frame for the most part but like I said I never had good luck doing that.

some people recommend grounding and say it works. i personally have done some tests with grounding parts while airbrushing to control the static. the overspray makes it easy to see. i never saw a bit of difference either way. even f grounding worked, a chain over the axle wont really cut it. i think you need to drive a grounding rod and hook to the body.

you can kill it but the second you blow air across or tack it the static will return .
That's what I thought too. But, so many people swore by it, I believed it.

I have written about this before, and you cannot know anything without a stat meter, cement is a poor conductor, so chains are useless.
Only way is a grounding rod and large coated cable coming into the garage, then the static will disappear and tacking will not increase the static.
I think I have picture posted of mine at home here somewhere???

Seems to me there is something regarding this that involves the Mason Dixon line? No I have not beed drinking.
