Hey all,
Long time lurker and SPI user/noob. I am in the middle of a build up on a early bronco and recently had the body stripped and then I shot the recommended two coats of SPI epoxy. I've been working on this for several months now with lots of good input picked up from the likes of Barry, Shine, Rusty G., Chad, Jeremy and others (your all on my Xmas list).
A few weeks back I did the underside, inside, and engine compartment in SPI Bedliner (3 freakin' gallons). I am going slow on this project due to not enough time & money, but am slowly chipping away. I now plan on starting the body work in the next week or so, and was wondering about next steps before applying filler.
I'm sure this has been asked before, but I couldn't find it.
Because it has been a few weeks since I primed, do I need to (a) scuff the epoxy before applying filler or should I (b) scuff and then re-shoot another epoxy coat before I apply the filler? If it's "b", then what happens if its a few more weeks before I get back to body work on another panel? Do I have to scuff, and reshoot again? I wish I had the time to just stay with it and get to the next phase, but I got too many projects and not enough time.
PS - did the frame and suspension with SPI and am using ProSpray for the base on the body.
Thanks for all your help - Mike
