Best sanding Poly primer ?

Which poly primer is the easiest to sand?

thx.:listening_headphone

All the poly primers I have dealt with have a tough or even sticky skin. Once that outer layer is removed with a coarse paper in the 80-120 range, most of them are really not that bad. We usually switch to 150 once the texture is all gone.

Let them cure out crash and you won't see the sticky initial cut. I have used Slick Sand, G2, and most recently USC Morton Eliminator. All sand similar with Slick Sand winning out on film build and morton the cheapest cost wise and longest to cure....I can put any in the hot sun for 30-60 minutes after flash with no tacky. Just my own personal experience...

i am still using the featherfill g2. i switched and tried evercoat's 4:1 mix polyesters but found them harder to sand compared to the g2. so i am back on the g2, everyone i know uses the g2. it always works, gives good results and once its 24hrs old or so it doesnt usually have too sticky of a coating. slightly but not bad really. no reason tho change really.

Slicksand with a shot of acetone per RTS quart gets my vote, no tackiness and the best of evercoat for sandability I think. I used G2 for quite awhile but it does sand harder than Slicksand IMO. I've used Morton, both versions of Featherfill, Z-chrome, Sikken's, and PPG's-they all work. There's still a lot to try: Standox-I seen an impressive sample of this years back but no local suppliers, transtar, Upol...

I still like the Z-chrome. it does sand pretty hard though, but I usually hit it with 80, then 120 so it's not to bad with the coarse paper.
