Bed Liner for Undercoating under cab floor.

I will soon have the bottom of my 56 Ford F-250 laying on its back for sand blasting. It will be outside and the cab will be masked off for finishing the underside of the cab floor. Once its blasted, Im planning on shooting some SPI Epoxy Primer followed by SPI Bed Liner. The other option is to brush on a coat of Zero Rust or Chasis Saver directly over the sandblasted metal. Im not for sure on those rust coatings over bare metal, but I believe they are intended more for metal that has not been sandblasted. Seems like epoxy primer followed by bed liner would be an awesome way to protect both sides of cab floor.

That's how I roll. Bare steel on floorpans, underbodies and engine compartments, followed by SPI epoxy then bedliner.

Yes sir I sure am. I will have to admit I stole the idea from rusty.

The engine compartment is SPI epoxy only

I also sprayed the interior and inside the trunk

I was just wondering how far a gallon goes when used as an undercoating. We are using the asphalt based stuff now and it works really well but it stays stick for months and gets on everything.

Thanks

I used about a quart to do the firewall and insides of fenders on a 68 Chevy pickup. I'd say another quart on the wheel houses up front. Sprayable.

I used a gallon on the underside areas of a 41 chev convertible.
