Applying more clear.

Can I spray more clear over unsanded clear after 2 days. I didn't see the addressed on the universal clear sheet.

I would not do it. I would atleast go over it with a gray scotch bright pad. I would think you would be pushing it as far as adhesion.

Thanks, thats what I thought. Usually I just put all my clear on at one time. But being I was using all SPI products including base I would try the perfect paint job. Well back to sanding.

In the perfect paint job it does say to wetsand to remove any orange peel or dirt before the second round of clear is applied.

Thats why I asked about applying more clear. The second round is applied anywhere from 2 days to 2 weeks later. Thats why I asked if there would be any problems going over the clear.

What about just overnight for re-coating unsanded clear? What's the max time for it not to be done without sanding?

I'm using Universal Clear and it's about 70 deg. in my shop.

With Universal and MS clears, you have a 24hr window before having to sand or scuff. Overnight at 70deg.; your good to go.
