Anyone else ever struggle with staying focused/motivated

Actually ED is one of the unknown symptoms of coronary heart disease. There are many others but it is one that drug companies have fixed the symptoms but not the root cause. Think of water well pump trying to push water thru clogged pipes. Your faucets will not have much flow. A person could have other symptoms besides ED and have heart disease. It's worth getting checked into before having a heart attack that might kill you. I hate to be bearer of bad news but it could save your life. If it saves anyones life it was worth it.

Just so everyone understands I wasn't picking on anyone here. I've heard all the jokes too. Two of my friends have died at young age due to heart attacks. They didn't eat right or get checkups like they should have. Neither smoked. Both were car guys. It pays to know and take care of ourselves.

I'm a Fleet Manager for a large university - I visit body shops I have doing work for me. See these young guys working away with no masks on... drives me crazy. I see their kids pictures on their tool boxes and tell em - wear a mask for them.. they look at me like I'm crazy. I try. I'll be 55 this year - motivation comes and goes. Turned wrenches for many years - took a management position for the money (not for the love). Two kids in college wasn't cheap. Wanted a better life for them then I had. I've battled lower back issues for years. Had a few cars years back - now only one project. Taking care of a home - family..work.. tough to get to the things you want to. The cold weather doesn't help. Hang in there!!

Ugh, college. I wonder if Bernie is going to have us all putting anyone thru college who wants a free education after we have already paid to put our kids thru college,

Sorry to bring up an old thread but I thought I'd share with you guys. When I posted this I was really having trouble staying focused, since then it has only gotten worse. I have to will myself through the day and at night and I started having physical issues as well. Extreme muscle fatigue, weakness, pain. rapid heartbeat, and losing muscle mass (which was being replaced with fat....ughh) Anyways I finally decided that something might be wrong so I went to the Doctor. Turns out I have developed Hyperthyroidism and am now starting to take meds to bring it back to normal. Just starting to see some improvement and am looking forward to feeling like myself again after 2 years of this. I'm really stubborn about seeing the doctor but I wish I had long ago as this problem would not have gotten as bad as it did.

Sometimes it's good to find out there is actually something wrong with ya, so they can fix it. But just remember the new yourself is older now.....
Going to the doctor myself this week to make the wife happy. Haven't had a physical since before age 40. That & having a stopped up ear for about 2 months now.

Same here, lost a lot of muscle mass, and replaced with fat. Other than work, wasn't very active physically, but tomorrow I am signing up at a gym. I used to train a couple of days a week a few years ago, and I remember how I felt much better, more energy, didn't struggle as much as now when removing panels from cars and such, and no lower back pains. I didn't go crazy like a guy that wants to be a bodybuilder, just to stay active and in shape. And after, give up smoking, we have enough crap in a bodyshop to breathe why add more. Have to take care of our bodies just we take care of cars I guess.
