Current project I've been working on. Should have color tomorrow as long as my final walk around the car comes up clean!

All SPI epoxy, 2k, and Universal Clear.

Started life as a 92 mustang

Where the car sits now until prep tomorrow. I may wait until next week. I have about a gallon of sprayable clear. It should be enough to do the fenders, roof, doors and quarter's

What are you putting over that intake so you don't suck in birds and small animals?

Nothing! At 200mph its every animal for themselves!

looks great! what's the color name on the engine bay? looks killer!

That thing reminds me of a MIG-19 or an F-86 Sabre with that intake in the front. All it needs now is a set of wings!

It's basically a one off color. I have a buddy over at BASF and I was planning on painting this car with a Chip Foose color called "Chipewter" but soon realized that repairing that color is a nightmare and this car will be raced a lot and Im sure it will need repairs.

So while doing sprayouts and trying to come up with a color that was close, he mixed this up!

Looks great but I wonder if you have enough clearance on those rear wheels? I don't race myself but with that motor they are going to enlarge quite a bit during burnouts aren't they?
By the way, I agree the color is fantastic.

The tire is a 29.5x10.5w tire. It will grow roughly 2"-2.5" at 190mph. The opening is 33". We need to move the rear end back alittle still. The car is setup for the 28" tire it ran the previous year. I know it looks close and it is, but thats as far as you can open a stock wheel opening and keeping a somewhat stock appearance!

The tire will grow the most at the 9 o'clock position.

Thanks for the compliments. It should have color next weekend (hopefully)

Actaully, if by some miracle my clear shows up today it will get color today. But I dont think FedX or UPS deliver on saturdays.

I sure don't see how you're going to get the radiator and AC condensor in there. Hey.... where's the AC compressor? LOL

I bet it don't get much for gas mileage!

Nice project! 8second car?

Ya, it'll run 8's on the shakedown runs! After that it will go mid 7's

There are small brackets on the lower portion of the front on the drivers side that hold a small radiator. gas mileage, well ya know! A/C. Roll the window down at the top end, and enjoy the breeze! Still have full power windows and mirrors!
