have a friend/customer who bought this little nova a few yrs ago & it had a spot in the hood covered up by one of those big, red bowtie outline stickers you used to see on truck tailgates. I told him then that matching that candy/pearl raspberry (pink!) just wouldn't be possible, so fixed the spot & covered it up with black super sport stripes. fast forward a few yrs & the spot came back, along with a bunch more. I think the hood had been dip stripped & it soaked into the foam "goop" thats between the inner/outer to keep them from rattling. everywhere there is a spot of that "goo" there is a rust hole working its way to the surface from the inside. with a new hood, we decided that an update was in order, so did the car in black above the beltline separated with a silver stripe. did the complete disassembly/paint/reassembly in 8 days.
