'26 Model T coupe deck lid

Combo Man & Mod
I had a guy call me that bought a reproduction deck lid for his Model T coupe, and it doesn't fit. he says it's too long, and they won't take it back. It's not really something I want to do given my lack of relevant skills and tools, but thought I would throw it out here as to either to get some advice I can give the guy, or find someone in the NW corner of the US that is willing to take it on. Any suggestions?

I'm just basing this off of a phone call. I am pretty sure by the way he talked about it that it's a complete lid. He paid $600 for it. He's here in Southern Idaho.

Wonder exactly what he has, as granted it's been like 6 years since I worked on one but AFAIK the complete deck lid for turtle decks wasn't being reproduced. 28-31's were. Skins yes, but the stamped inner panel no. Wonder if he got the wrong thing.

Maybe he did get the wrong one, but I've never even done a T of any kind and didn't want to speculate. Around here he is going to have a tough time getting that done, I think. That's why I offered to enquire on his behalf.

Just looking at pictures on line, it looks like a lot of them are flat. That could make it easier, but it would need to be someone close by to do it, cause it will be difficult to make it fit without the car being in the same shop also.
