Hope to have this finished up in the next few weeks.

Mk I V12 - sweet . I had a 76 Mk II V12 thirty years ago, beautiful car that drove fantastically ............ when it worked :(

thanks. yes he has a fortune in the motor and re-wiring on this thing. He says it is sentimental...it definately isn't worth all the money being dumped into it. He's had it a while. Should make a nice car when he's done.

did the Jaguars also have Lucas Electronics, or was that just MGs? A friend is always telling me horror stories about Lucas Electronics and the "dark side" of British cars.

I had a boss once who owned an XJ12 and sold it 6 months after he bought it. Spent nearly 1/2 that time in the shop being worked on.

I was doubtful about the color. It is Ford "Candy Apple Red" from the 90's. On the chip and in the engine bay I wasn't a fan. Now that color is on the body it has grown on me. It isn't extremely bright and doesn't have that muddy look for a darker shade. I prefer a bright in your face red, but this shade fits this car. The owner is happy and that's all that matters!!

Nice work as always.

Why someone would waste a dollar on some cars is beyond me.

do you remember the paint code for this, looks like the color a customer is requesting for his impala.

Either EU or 2k. Both should pull the same, 2K was 1980-1990 and EU was 1990-1998 according to the sikkens database.

doors painted, cut&buffed and hung on the car. Windshield and back glass installed.

yes on 2nd pic the face of the hinge isn't painted. Will mix some ss and paint them. I did not want to remove the hinge from the door for ease of alignment back onto the body. The doors were aligned pretty well when I got the car in. I jambed the doors out and completely forgot about the face of the hinge. LOL..we are all human!

Finally got this thing finished up, atleast my end. Customer has a long way to go...next stop is interior shop.
