This 1970 Mustang will need a lot of new sheet metal.
You will have a lot more in it today then it's worth but in the future if it is built right it will last and be worth a lot.Is that car really worth the money to restore it?
I ask because I was looking at a 1969 Mach 1 in even worse condition once, basically buying a VIN and Fender tag, but wasn't sure if it was worth the investment.
You can come by the shop anytime you want.I've got a line on a 69 M1 - 390, 4v, 4 speed, black. I'm sure it'll need sheetmetal work so I'll be watching this close. Just came back from Crystal River too. Next trip I'll give you a shout and would like to stop on by.
Like your work for sure!
There are few cars I know of that are suffering this same fate. The owners know they are valuable but don't have the money to fix them up, refuse to sell them and they rust away.A guy about a 1/4 mile from me has a 70 mach 1 sitting under a carport, his dad bought it for him in the late 70's. It needs restored but is not that bad from what I have seen but is above my level, I asked him several years ago if he would sell it and he said no.
I wouldn't use anything but SPI epoxy primer.Love those little Hobart migs, they really do a good job. Is that red epoxy?
