1968 Plymouth GTX

I've always just thought of Mopar anything Chrysler related....or fiat. Or stellantis...whoever owns them now.

And anything Chevy, gmc, Cadillac, Pontiac and whatever other 12 brands they have/had.....GM related.

I waited for a long time for my YearOne window channel order to arrive. After a couple of weeks they told me it was lost in shipment so they sent out another order which I got in a few days.

Today I installed the front window channel guide and the new rear window seal on the rear channel guide.

The adjustment rod at the bottom of the vent window calls for cement tape (whatever that is) as an anti-rattle retainer.
I saw where most kits had a little length of hose included so I decided to make my own.
Cut a piece of rubber fuel line that had the correct ID/OD and it seems to work great. The rod can be moved with some pressure yet will stay in place on it's own.

The shocker came recently when the original order from Year One showed up. Since the order came to $186.81 with shipping, I contacted them to let them know it arrived and that I hadn't opened it so to let me know how to go about returning it. They have never responded. So any of you MOPAR guys that might need a set of these window seals, I can make you a good deal on them.

Okay I see what the problem is, some Chevy owner is all butt hurt over my Walmart comment they can buy parts there.

Don't blame me that your cheaply built Chevy's can buy cheaply built parts at Walmart.

You wanna be someone that others look up too, buy a mopar if you can afford one.

I have to go mow the lawn before before someone takes me serious and sues me for emotional trauma.
The volume of sales dictates the price of the products. The more popular a car is, the more parts reproduced for it, and the less it cost to reproduce parts for it. Very low production cars such as some that Chrysler built back then, make them extremely valuable to the mopar crowd.

The door glass installation has been nothing short of frustrating.
At first I couldn't get the top of the vent window even close to lining up properly:

Then somebody on the bbodiesonly website pointed out that the drip rail seal didn't look right. Upon investigation it turned out I had installed them on the wrong sides of the car. Of course there were no instructions in the package and they weren't marked left or right, so I can blame them right? LOL
Swapped the seals and things started going a little better.

The top portion of the door glass still needs to go in about an 1/8" in order to line up and seal properly, but I'm a lot closer than I was.
Can't wait to start on the driver's side.

Looking great!
Freaking door glass . . . that was one of only 2 or 3 things on my whole project where I almost just gave up.
And, it drew the most blood. Reaching inside the door shell is not for the faint of heart.

Looks great! I'm dreading doing this on my car!
On the bbodiesonly site, I posted pictures of the components and there is discussion on how to adjust the glass. My intent was to save others some of the headaches I went through.
Regardless of helps, instructions and pictures, it is still not a job anyone looks forward to.
By the way, I had to put lubricant in the channels just to get the glass to begin moving up and down.
