1952 Ford F5...in lacquer

I've been asked to respray, in the original green color, a 1952 Ford F5.

Trick is, it's done in laquer, although most likely not original paint, but only one repaint.

Cab only, wooden bed, but ultra crappy is dealing with metal dash, etc. in interior.

Owner wantsit to be a really nice auction sale truck.

Do I:

1: Play it safe and sand to bare metal, then epoxy.

2: sand past paint to primer, then epoxy.

3: sand paint to xxx grit, then epoxy?

One shot to get it right, reputation on line, cash exchanging hands.

Advice, Gents??

Hard for you to guarantee your work not knowing what's underneath. I'd take it to bare metal if it were me, that will show if you need any metal repairs as well.

^^^^ its amazing what some ppl can do with filler and newspaper......

If your reputation is on the line bare metal for sure, anything else would be just a time bomb
