WTB Body Hammers/Dollies

Only place I ever had any luck buying older used hammers/dollies was Ebay. Don't know how good it is now but at one point you could find almost any American made vintage hammer. I don't really buy anything anymore as I have way over 100 body/metalwork hammers and nearly as many dollies. IDK how many actually.

Barring that Picard in Germany makes really good stuff. Still very high quality. Hammers and dollies. You can find nearly all the Picard hammers and dollies at hammersource and hanks hammers. Picard makes a lot of specialty metalworking hammers that you can't find anywhere else.

Good luck finding any quality used body hammers. There is an old white guy buying all the body hammers and dollies at estate sales.

I'll tell ya what we can do OP if we work as a team. I know where this guy lives with his collection of thousands of hammer and dollies. I'll distract him and you grab as many hammers as you can.

If we get separated, we'll meet up at the safe house to divide up the loot.

Sounds like a movie script from the 40s that didn't end well for those involved. Lol. In black and white film of course.

Thanks all! I've seen your hammer creation videos/thread, its what sent me down the path to getting good ones.

I love the idea of running distraction hahahha.

Thanks for that tip I will pick one up. I've got a Fairmount 151G coming, a unknown model bluepoint, and a unknown model Stanley. Also got 5-6 random dollys coming. They all look old.

Between those, the 153G, you suggest and a couple from Chris' thread on must buy hammers I think all have all the bases covered.

So I derusted the haul I got in the other day, and wore out 80 grit papered them all. Got one Fairmount hammer, 1 pexto hammer, 1 blue point hammer which I didn't know, 1 old stanley hammer with a brazed on square end. 3 pexto dollies, and a couple of junky ones probably older craftsman.

Pretty happy with what I got for the price I paid. I can definitely tell a difference between them and my junky hammers I had. Gonna pick up a select few other Snap Ons/Protos/Martins and I think my collection will be good for a bit.
