Which temp activator for clear?

Doing a quickie racecar paintjob for a friend of mine. He wants it done before the season starts, the first of April. Temps outside are around 50*, but I can get the shop up to 70* while I shoot, but may go to around 60* overnight. Using the Universal clear. Would the fast activator be my best bet? I normally only try to paint when it's warm out, but this time I have no choice.

Any advice from cold weather painters is appreciated.

Thanks, Gregg

Completes have to be done with slow. Normal flashes in like 8 minutes or so and that's not enough time to get around the vehicle.

I always use the slowest activator I can get away with, even in the dead of winter in Montana I use slow or normal. I have nevey event bought a fast. If its a quick race car jobI would say use normal. Get a little more time for it to flow and will look better/last longer

Also if you have some Euro on hand I would use that instead of UV on a racecar. Euro wont scratch as easy and its cheaper

Thanks Airbrush, I went with the normal activator in the UV clear. The Euro sounds good, but I don't wanna try something new on a project where I'm pressed for time. Thanks again.

I shot El Camino in early January and used Fast universal act. It turned out great. Temp outside was 21*. The car temp on rockers was 58* and the top side hood fenders 61*. Shop temp obviously dropped from 70* to 60* and stayed their for 15 min or so. It looked slick.. Surprising for Fast act.
