Which clear over SS?

I painted a 68 Camaro in single stage black. Although it looks good I find the SS scratches VERY easily. It is hard to keep perfect. I also have some minor flaws that can be seen in direct sun. I painted it outside in 110 degrees with a 25 gallon compressor and a Eastwood gun. It was tough to make it perfect considering the environment.

I am considering clearing the entire car to hide imperfections, and give it a tough finish. The car is assembled to I am thinking to clear just the outside (not jams). If I backtape I am hoping to make it not noticeable.

Which clear is best for this application? Universal or Euro? I am not familiar with the differences.

Damn that looks nice! SS should be every bit as durable as clear, how long has it been painted and did it get some time in the sun right after drying? Well, I see you painted it outside in the sun so that answers my second question
