Use a nylon filament brush to sand beds fast

If you are looking for a fast way to sand a pickup truck bed , I recommend the use of a
5" or 6" nylon filament brush which attaches to you 7" buffer/grinder. I personally have a AES #51886, which I have used on several beds over the years, and it's barely showing wear. Other companies such as 3M and Norton make these as well.

Using this type of filament brush would allow one to sand a 6' bed in 10-12 minutes. The only draw back is there are a few certain places you won't be able to get this brush and your buffer into but those areas can be sanded by hand or with your DA.

I bought one of these a year or 2 ago and it worked great for me.. Up until i decided to borrow it to someone,, Must work good for him to.. lol..

I use them also, thanks to Andy's original thread on the old forum. One thing, it has to be used at a slower rpm, no regular speed grinders or it will melt. I use a Makita buffer and a 7" air sander.

How about posting a picture of a properly sanded bed before the liner is shot?
