Tractor painting

Hi folks,great forum. I have painted several tractors in the past and used PPG paint because of the local distributor. I have used laquer base primer with acrlyic enamel. I would like to use epoxy on the sandblasted castings. Would epoxy primer also work on the sheet metal? I want to keep it simple. What kind of top coat would you reccommend? Thanks, Glenn

epoxy is the very best choice . i use prospray colors but any quality paint will work.

Epoxy with a single stage urethane topcoat. It will be way more durable than acrylic enamel.

I have used SPI epoxy on quite a few tractors. The durability of epoxy is waaaay better than laquer. Any quality urethane single stage would be perfect. I use epoxy on the castings and everything.
