Thought I would share a pretty cool restoration finished up about 4 years ago. The car is a 1966 imperial that was transformed into the "black beauty" that was used on the TV show, The Green Hornet. Dean Jeffries originally built both cars. The show was on air back in the 70's. Wasn't real popular but there may be a few of you on here that remember it. They made 2 cars for the show. The one we did the restoration on was the #2 car. It is the real deal car. It's back in the shop now for some minor detail buffing and touch up before it heads to the mopar nationals next week.

Few more pics:

I was working 15-hour days back then and my son was only 2 so we never got to see the show when it first aired. I didn't realize Dean Jeffries did the car -- he was one of several of my childhood idols in the car customizing world.

Bruce Lee got his first TV roll as Kato (can't remember the other guy's name. LOL). They told him to tone it down after he jumped into the air and kicked the light off the ceiling.
Great work on the car Jeremy.

thats cool! I wasnt even a thought back when the show was on air (LOL). I've only watched a few of them. Not really my cup of tea but still pretty neat to have worked on the actual car. Every bit of the wiring had to be re-done. Talk about a task....wish i could post pics of it but the owner is very conscious about posting detailed pics (for whatever reason).

Now time for a few energy drinks before i grab the buffer and get on this thing.

yea that was on the #1 restoration. all the info is out there on it.....pretty insane what the guy was charged for the resto. All that was pretty much done do it was repaint and cleaned up, i believe.

Nice piece of history. It's a real feather in the cap to be involved with something like that!

Very kewl to have worked on that Jeremy.. Car looks amazing bro
