That was weird - Iwata WS-400 Supernova broke

I've been really happy with my Anest Iwata WS-400 Supernova.
Went to spray base today and it just wasn't laying down right.

Finally took the gun apart and found that the shaft in the "Pattern Adjust Assy" (which is for the fan) had broken and was just floating.
Very weird. And $83 with tax etc.
Was tempted to just get a new gun, there are a couple I'd like to try. But . . . $83 vs. $400-$600, I'll just fix it.

Good thing I had my DeVilbiss Pro Lite as a back up. It did just fine.

I'm going to have to look at mine. Never had any problems with any of my Iwatas.

I always switch guns if something seems different.

Yeah. It looks like the shaft was glued into the housing and the glue failed.
Thought about trying to epoxy glue it back in but it's a tiny hole and I'd probably just make a mess.
I would try it. Weird issue. don't know what it looks like so this might be off the wall but could it be silver soldered?
