sandblasting and flashrust

So I live in an area that doesn't have many options for having parts sandblasted. I called one of these local places to inquire about having a cowl panel cleaned up. They said no problem, "just drop it off and we'll call you when it's ready, it may take a few days before we can get to it." I then said that I wanted to epoxy it as soon as possible. The guy said "don't worry, it's ok in bare metal inside the shop for a few days".

Because I have a day job, I can't just leave work to go get my blasted panel when ready and immediately go home to prime it. So, would you trust the "don't worry, it's ok in bare metal inside the shop for a few days" idea?

For example, if they call me on Tuesday afternoon to say "it's ready", I may not be able to pick it up until Friday morning and prime it immediately after.
